Observational Oil Painting with India Mark Multi award winning artist India Mark is running a series of 6 x Observational Oil Painting classes on Fridays commencing 12th August. Great for beginners or those wishing to refresh their oil painting skills. This six week course focuses on the foundational elements of observational painting in oils. Looking closely at still life painting, we will cover the basic materiality of oils, colour theory, tonal painting and composition. There are two places left, for bookings click here.
Join textile artist Michele Elliot for her Shibori 2 workshop on Saturday 13 August 2022. This workshop is a little different to our previous Shibori workshop in that we will be used stitching to create beautiful patterns on your own hand designed silk scarf. A beautiful day using the Japanese art of resist dyeing. All materials are included, just bring an apron or wear old clothes. You will get plenty of samples to practice with before you stitch your silk scarf to take home. This workshop is suitable for total beginners or those wishing to learn stitched shibori. Pockets and Pouches with Michele Elliot Michele Elliot will also be teaching our Pockets and Pouches workshop on Saturday 10 September 2022. Learn how to make an upcycled fabric pouch or pocket for anything such as glasses, secateurs, scissors or mobile phone. This is a great way to use up leftover fabrics. Michele will work with you to design and create a unique pouch with scraps and offcuts and simple embroidery stitches. No sewing experience is necessary! Click here for bookings.
