Kiama Art Workshops was created by local artist, Rhonda Murray, to bring people and art together in a warm and friendly environment.
Since July 2023, local artist Olivia (Liv) has taken over from Rhonda to continue to bring creative workshops to the community.
The workshops are held in Kiama on the NSW South Coast; a beautiful and inspiring location where lush rolling hills make their way to the sea.
Liv is engaged and passionate about art and making art accessible to everyone. As an Art Therapist and Primary School Teacher with experience and a love for supporting people with disabilities, she is passionate about creating a safe and supportive learning environment for everyone. Since her early teens, Liv has been exhibiting her work in local stores, doing oil painted commissions of the local area, and completing murals within cafe's, and people's homes. For the last 5 years Liv has been running painting and drawing classes for groups of any ages and abilities and is excited to share some of these in the Kiama community.
Have you thought about doing something creative but not sure where to start? Maybe you already work as an artist and would like to enhance your skills or explore a new medium.
You will be encouraged to work at a pace that is optimal to your skill level. At the completion of the workshop you will feel more confident, with a deepened skill set and the inspiration to further explore your chosen medium.
Groups are small to ensure personalised attention.
The workshops are fun, with participants encouraging each other under the tutelage of the artist.
Workshops take place during the day. Your evenings are free to explore the local cuisines and tourist attractions of Kiama.
Join Liv for a truly refreshing weekend where you will expand your creativity, meet new people and enjoy all things art!
